RORICK Dorothy (Donovan) Larsen Dorothy Rorick of Maumee, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, at The Toledo Hospital. She was an accountant for the City of Toledo. Dorothy and her late husband, Marv, were world travelers. He played golf and she shopped, especially for shoes; it was said that she had a “black belt” in shopping. She was a member of the Toledo Country Club, Toledo CC 9 Hold Golf Group, Carranor Hunt Polo Club, Cypress Lakes CC of Ft. Myers, FL, and Boca Grande CC of Boca Grande, FL. She volunteered for various charities and was also a member of St. Patrick’s Historic Church, Meals on Wheels, the Toledo Animal Shelter, Women’s Auxiliary of the Salvation Army, the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Zoo and the River Road Garden Club. She is survived by her son, Shawn Larsen; stepchildren, Dr. Marvin H. (Lindsay) Rorick III, Paige B. (Steve) Parks and Shelly R. Bennett;
granddaughters, Rachel and Julia; step grandchildren, Burgess, Paige, Kelly, Riley and Hannah; sister, Shirley (Robert) Siebenaler; former husband, Bruce Larsen; and former daughter in law, Kelly Larsen. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilma (Hall) Donovan; husband, Marvin Horton Rorick, Jr. and brothers, Howard and James Donovan. on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at St. Patrick’s Historic Church Downtown, 130 Avondale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43604, with a luncheon to follow at the Embassy House Club. Dorothy donated her body to the University of Toledo Medical College and in lieu of flowers requested that expressions of sympathy be directed in the form of contributions to St. Patrick’s Historic Church Downtown,
the Boys and Girls Club or the Salvation Army.
