WASHINGTON (AP) LeBron James played the first half wearing a pair of shoes one black, one white reading in gold capital letters and finished with 20 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Washington Wizards 106 99 on Sunday night for their 18th victory in 19 games.

James had his fourth triple double in the past five games despite being called for four fouls in the final quarter. Kevin Love added 25 points and nine rebounds for the Cavs.

Bradley Beal led Washington with 27 points, and John Wall had 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in 32 minutes in his third game back after missing nine with an injured left knee.

In a matchup of Eastern Conference division leaders, neither team led by more than seven until Wall turned the ball over, leading to a fast break for James, who was fouled at the other end and completed the three point play for a 103 94 lead.

The last time these teams played, at Washington on Nov. 3, Cleveland won thanks to 57 points from James.

That prompted Wizards coach Scott Brooks to joke before tipoff Sunday both that holding the four time league MVP to would be pretty good tonight and have a lot of respect for Coach (Tyronn) Lue, but I think he making a bad decision if he doesn sit LeBron tonight. Back to back games, right? Our fans saw 57. They don need to see any more. did not carry that much of a scoring load this time, but he did a bit of everything. He also made his statement with his sneakers, wearing that pair for the first half,

before switching gear at halftime. He sported a pair of black shoes with written on them for Cleveland opening game of the season.

If it seems as if James climbs up some career list each and every night, well, that because he pretty much does. This time, he overtook Hakeem Olajuwon for ninth most made field goals in NBA history and tied Nick Van Exel for 24th most 3 pointers.

James made only 4 of 12 shots in the first half for nine points, but it was his 3 with 1.1 seconds remaining that made it 60 all at the break.

Wall 3 shortly before that moved him up to No. 5 on Washington franchise scoring list. He began the night at No. 7, but surpassed Phil Chenier and Gus Johnson in the second quarter. Finished with 24 assists, ending their streak of three consecutive games with at least 30. Cleveland made 14 3 pointers, its 20th game in a row with at least 10. The Cavs scored at least 100 points for the 24th straight game.

Wizards: F Otto Porter Jr. sat out with an injured right hip. Smith, Washington F Markieff Morris and Brooks.

BROOKS AND Z

Brooks was by turns earnest, nostalgic and funny while recalling former Cavs teammate Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who will receive a lifetime achievement award during the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards Show next month. took me in. I stayed with him for two months. A lot of interesting nights, Brooks said with a chuckle. a great sense of humor. I don know why in the world did the state of Ohio give him a driver license. I mean, it was an adventure going to dinner every night. Just a horrible driver, but a great teammate. One of the nicest guys you ever meet. {

Back in 1621, the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians got together for what we call the first Thanksgiving. Almost everything you know about that day is wrong.

For starters, that day wasn really a “thanksgiving.” To the colonists, a “thanksgiving” was a religious occasion, where everyone sits in church thanking the Lord for some specific event, such as winning a battle or being spared by the latest plague. That day in 1621 was actually a harvest feast, with secular activities (dancing, games, singing secular songs) that would never have been allowed at a somber, God fearing “thanksgiving.”

Think it hard to get rid of Uncle Ernie even after the table cleared and the turkey all wrapped up in foil? The original feast in Massachusetts lasted three days. We not sure exactly when it happened, either; it was sometime between September 21 and November 11.

There no record,
polo ranger boots for men Did Pilgrims really wear buckles on their hats
by the way, that the two groups ever reunited for a feast after 1621.

We not sure precisely what was served at the original feast, but settler Edward Winslow did send a letter to a friend mentioning “fowl,” likely seasonal waterfowl such as ducks or geese. The colonists had no sugar and wheat flour was scarce, so there was no pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce. No one in the colony had built an oven for baking yet, anyway.

No one in New England had any sweet potatoes (or white potatoes), either.

Some historians think that the first festival fare may have included seafood such as lobsters and mussels.

We do know that the Wampanoag, led by Chief Massasoit, contributed at least five deer.

No, the Pilgrims didn wear black and white clothing with large buckles on their hats and shoes. The black and white garb was reserved for formal occasions, including church; the buckles didn come into fashion until much later in the 17th century. Such affectations weren really the Pilgrims style,

anyway.

The letter was sent to the states of Oregon, California and Illinois and certain cities and counties in those three states and in the states of Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi, Massachusetts, New York, New Mexico, Vermont and Colorado, according to the DOJ.

Oregon law prohibits law enforcement officers from using state resources to help with the apprehension of undocumented residents in the state.

Gov. Kate Brown defended the state’s sanctuary laws and said she would uphold them. “Oregon will not be bullied by a Trump Administration that is focused on dividing our country,” Brown said in a statement Wednesday. Conference of Mayors,

1. What did you make?

I wanted a pair of simple, comfy summer shoes; I had a pair of old flip flops that were fraying and had pokey sequins. My mom had a bag of cloths we were about to donate so I had a nice selection of old t shirts to choose from for the straps.2. However, when I was laying the straps on my feet, I found that having a single wide strap going up the top of my foot was more flattering than the traditional V shaped design.3. Where did you make it?

I was all set up in my living room, readyto finish themin one go,
pga tour polo DIY Sandals From Old Flip Flops
but at 11 pm, I decided to leave it for the next day. Getting my dfingers unstuckwas a close second. The most rewarding part was the fancy smanchy five strand braid which was actually really easy and came out really well. If I were to do this again, I would start out with new, or at least cleaned, flip flops. the bottoms of the ones I worked with were kinda dusty and icky. I would also make my own soles out of leather so that the shoes look more streamlined and gladiator like.

So let’s begin!

In a nut shell:

(knot glue) [ (flip flops theplastic straps)+ old t shirt (cut braid) ]= comfy strappy braided sandals

Materials and Tools Needed:

old t shirt

flip flopsscissors for fabric

Step 1: Make the Straps1. Cut out along the width of the t shirt to make 5 strips about the width of your pinky nail.

(CNN) Splurging a million dollars on a ski trip may seem implausible, but it can be done with ease if you got the cash to splash of course.

Because while the Alps and extravagance have always gone hand in hand, a batch of chalets and restaurants catering to the billionaire set have taken previously understated Alpine decadence to a whole new level of bling.

Where there were once wooden fondue rooms and raucous nightclubs, there are now crystal encrusted showers, Krug and truffle picnics in the snow, burnished gold swimming pools and multi Michelin star meals next to which the actual skiing often pales by comparison.

So if you want to winter vacation oligarch style, here where to go and what to do.

The chalet: Chalet N, Oberlech, Austria

At Chalet N, one man is seemingly employed with the sole responsibility of grating thick slices of truffle onto every passing plate at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Extravagant, yes. But we wouldn expect anything less from the world most expensive chalet.

Set on the slopes of Oberlech, the 10 bedroom lodge costs up to $700,000 a week to rent, which means guests expect stratospheric levels of luxury.

And the result is Bond villain lair meets the Ritz.

There is a vast subterranean pool lit by crystal chandeliers and flanked by 1970s style vibrating water beds. Next door is a Swarovski encrusted spa, where therapists are on hand to massage away any aches and pains.

In touching distance of the slopes, there are two outdoor hot tubs surrounded by candles and iced champagne from dusk until dawn.

Martinis are drunk in the mirrored 1920s bar or on the outdoor balcony under the dead weight of multiple fur rugs, while chefs will prepare whatever tidbits take your fancy 24 hours a day.

And as for the skiing, well there a lift that whips you straight from the plush boot room and onto the slopes.

The hotel: Cheval Blanc, Courchevel

Placing your foot in a damp, chilled ski boot is enough to put you off snow for life. So thankfully there someone to warm your shoes, and tie your laces at Cheval Blanc,

which is run by French luxury goods company LVMH Mo Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

With 34 rooms and a staff to guest ratio of nearly four to one, it aims to offer almost maternal levels of service serving tea exactly how you like it, running your bath while you still skiing and leaving your favorite flowers by the bed. Although this is a high fashion French version of motherly love.

Karl Lagerfeld commissioned the photographs on the walls and downstairs there is a Louis Vuitton boutique and a Givenchy Snow Spa.

And she likes to feed you: think bouillon of gold flakes, and bread made with truffles at Yannick All three star Michelin restaurant Le 1947.

The swimming pool: Chalet Marco Polo, Val d at Chalet Marco Polo is like being thrust onto a film set with an unusually high budget and nowhere is that more apparent than its gold leaf swimming pool.

Sitting under an open skylight, it glimmers in the Alpine sun like Midas lair brought to life.

Designed by Christian Lacroix, this shimmering pool has more to offer than just its looks it also boasts powerful swimming jets and a cinema screen that appears at the end of the pool with the touch of a button.

Elsewhere in this six bedroom chalet is a marble hammam, a vast wine cellar, a cheese room, and even an adult sized Scalextric that takes up to eight players.

The wellness center: Alpina Gstaad, Gstaad, Switzerland

You hear people boasting that they an 80, or looking embarrassed that they a 50 at this sumptuous hotel. It may sound like a secret Swiss skiing code, but it all linked to the wellness program.

After analyzing metabolism, heart function, digestion, cell health and stress, guests are given a strict treatment regime.

Some cures are delightful laps in the heated outdoor pool ringed by snowy mountains, a wallow in the Turkish baths, saunas and hot and cold wet rooms. Others are more painful vitamin injections and a colonic irrigation or two.
